They have a downstairs room and bathroom, but we share a kitchen and communal areas. It has been so rewarding to come home to a family with kids and pear trees and a big lawn. We've gardened together-- it's been fun to bring the kids into this especially. We are currently looking at getting our own place, but our intention is to remember to make this type of communal living our habit wherever we are. Wow. It was an eye opening experience. I met parents who are desperately trying to have a skate park built for their kids (because kids need some place safe to go too). I met an old man who is about to lose his house because of an unethical contractor who ran off with his money and some zoning issues. I also learned that the individual (the Bristol Township Director of Public Works) who told me to come to this meeting was a liar because apparently this wasn't what I was supposed to do. And the people who I was appealing to for help were the wrong people to appeal to. It was an interesting night. I think I am going to continue to attend these meetings but I might have to change my expectations going into the meetings. Township Mtg. Wow. It was an eye opening experience. I've found that I am more likely to just watch one show when there are no commercials but with commercials I can watch hours and hours of TV. 6. I don't know how much luck I will have with taking the petition to the township but I do know what an impact meeting my neighbors had on me. It was so interesting to learn about pieces of my neighbors lives and to finally be able to place a face and a name together. Its also amazing to know that my action could potentially create an improvement in my neighbors lives. 3. You can play DVD's on almost any computer now so I have not run into any problems with my love for movies either.
