Pastors gathering…
I just got back from a couple days with a group of about 20 pastor friends where we had a round table type discussion about the challanges of ministry, leadership and theology in our changing culture. This has become an annual gathering and it is something that I look forward to every year. Its a great time to sit down with some great thinkers and pastors like Brian McLaren, Keith Matthews, Pavi Thomas, …

Vacation pics.
We are at the tail end of our vacation in Sedona here. Its been an interesting time. Cole was sick for the first three days and right after he got better, Jake, my brothers son got sick too. He’s been sick for about three days now too. So, apart from the sickness, its been a nice time. We did get to visit the grand canyon with my brothers and dad. Simply amazing. I’ll write …

So, we head off and do something “manly” and the women …

Discipleship…
I’ve been doing some of my own thinking on discipleship and would love to hear what you all (whoever you are…if you are there at all!) think of the subject…
If you are in a relationship with someone who is previously unchurched and says to you, “hey, i want to become a follower of Christ and commit my life to living for him.” How would you “disciple” him? What would you teach him? What is important? What …

New Read…
Considering my role in at church, i am always looking for new books on community and spiritual formation. It was recently suggested that I grab this book. I am glad I did. It is really challanging my traditional views of small groups, different levels of intimacy and more. I am having a blast reading this book. I got it from Amazon on Friday and I am already half way through it! I would highly suggest …
