Eugune Peterson
I have been looking around Amazon and some book reviews and other blogs, i am pretty convinced that i want to make it a goal to read as much Eugene Peterson as possible this year. Not only does his first name share my middle name (i can finally be proud of it!) but he seems to have an amazing perspective on what “pastoring” is all about.

Support…
Well, we just received one more sizable monthly support gift for our role as missionaries at the our church. This puts us only $31.00/month away from being done raising full support! If you know anything about support raising, this is huge. My wife and I will need to spend some serious time thanking God for his provision!

the “joy” of support raising…
my wife and i have been doing this support raising thing for about 9 months now. because we work at in a church plant type situation, in a community where the average age is about 20-35, it is necessary for us to raise support as missionaries to be able to serve where we are.
its been a nice, long, hard and testing road and it looks like we are nearing the end of the first leg of our …

Bursting the Christian Bubble
My co-pastor, brad, and i just got done playing in a YMCA basketball league on saturday afternoons. While we both love basketball and it has definately served that good purpose (trying to get back in shape!). But, its also been a cool way for us to burst out of the Christian bubble that pastors (and following that example, the rest of Christians) so often find ourselves trapped in. While the example of Jesus Christ was …
