This weekend, The Well (my church) along with two other faith communities, resonate and The Living Room, is putting on an art show at First Friday in Doylestown at Main Street Baptist Church. The pastor at this church has courageously and graciously allowed us to use the space. And, the space is fairly amazing since it is right on Main street where all the crowds walk by. He said that when all they are offering is free tours and free bathrooms they usually have 75-100 people come through a night (on the First Friday nights). With our music and art, we’re hoping for a few more… We have over 30 artists and 100 original pieces in the show and One Village Coffee will be serving...Read More →

TAI Incorporated
I have spent the last 2 months working hard on designing, laying out and coding a new website for TAI Incorporated. About the Company TAI is in the business of leadership consulting. Their tag line is: “bridging the gap between strategy and execution.” Perhaps their greatest strength is their proprietary assessment tool called PRO Development. It’s basically a combination of all the tools you are familiar with and it is really, really helpful. At The Well, our leadership team each took the assessment an then had a training day with Davis Taylor (founder of TAI) and it was perhaps one of the most helpful days we’ve had together in a long, long time. About the Site The goals for this site were the following: A...Read More →

The (Actually) Sent Church. Time to Put Up or Shut Up.
Those who have spent their time learning the language and theology of the missional church know that its popular to talk about the church being the “sent church.” I wrote about this extensively in my paper on the suburban church (The Gospel and the God Forsaken: The Challenge of the Missional Church in Suburbia). It’s a lot of trial and error and expirmenting. Basically, it’s not easy when you are shaped by a society and culture that is based in consumerism. This kind of culture goes directly against what...Read More →

Trouble.
I read this prayer a while ago (February to be exact) on Sherman Kuek’s blog. I saved it and look at it almost daily. Lord, you have given me much trouble… You have obligated me to decide if the Kingdom of God is what I truly desire, or if it’s just the Christian religion I really want after all. Thank you. Good night Lord. Amen.
