Bucks County Forum on Suburban Poverty

Last night we put on the Bucks County Forum on Suburban Poverty here at The Well. It was awesome. About 65 people showed up, only 23 of which were from The Well. It was not only a great turnout, it was an awesome event. The panelists did a great job and the conversation was excellent. I don’t have time to write my thoughts about it right now because we’re getting ready for a massive fundraiser garage sale tomorrow but I’ll be sure to post some reactions this weekend.

Wow, I would’ve paid to go to something like this. We need something like this in Jackson, NJ too.

Chris, Talk to Gary, he organized it. Its something worth thinking about organizing and hosting at your church.

Todd, the forum is very cool idea. I see you are planning for a fundraiser, I was wondering if that was for the foodbank as well? We are a small group in Dutchess County, NY also trying to make an impact missionally in suburbia. We were beginning to think about how we might raise money or food for the local food banks that are really struggling here right now. I’m curious what ways you have found it successful to do this? Thanks, exciting to see what you guys are doing. - David M.
