As mentioned before, it is one of my favorite books. I helped me process the Sermon on the Mount more easily, as well. I would also recommend (not sure if I did already) "Unleashing the Scripture" by Hauerwas. "Politics of Jesus" is on my Amazon wishlist. Maybe I'll buy it. PS I've found myself wasting time in front of the TV too. I should be more productive. Nice to know your pastor is struggling with the same thing(s) you are.
