Hey, I just wanted to tell you that I really appreciated what you wrote and I thought you made good points about a subject that is not commonly discussed in this manner. I think in the world we live in, we are finally having a chance to reevaluate the old philosophies and try to construct new ones for the benefit of the future, in the way that we interact with each other on a societal level. Our economic system is failing horribly, and we are now in need of some concrete set of ideas by which to live together. Even if some new dominant philosophy emerges, it will still inevitably be rooted in the philosophies of the past (for example, Jesus Christ)
We look back now at the way poor people lived a hundred years ago in America and shake our heads in disgust...I think (I HOPE) our children will be able to look back at us someday and judge us as petty and disconnected, and really just slaves to a system we didnt yet have the power to fix. That's my two cents.

good wrestling bro, i like the thought progression. i've been thinking about fight club too alot these days and working through that quote. it has painted a better picture for us in the realm of spiritual things that we're truly at war. you've got to read the book. another of chuck palahniuk's novels worth checking out is invisible monsters.
