In Chicago…off to Wisconsin

November 23, 2005

My wife and son and I landed in Chicago today. We’ll be here till tomorrow morning when we head up to Wisconsin Dells to spend Thanksgiving with my side of the family there. I just got done with a late night run to Gene & Judes which is simply the best hot dog stand anywhere.

I am really looking forwards to this weekend. It will be good for us to get together as a family after all that went on a couple weekends ago. I am also excited because we’ve set aside a night to have my grandfather, my dad, my brothers and I all sit down and have a conversation about ministry together. There are three generations of pastors in our family and it should make for some stimulating conversation. We’ll be talking about all kinds of things. Who knows where it will go…

I stole this idea straight from Chris Seay’s book: Faith of my Fathers which is a really great book.

We’re audio recording the conversation and I hope to put together some of the thoughts on paper for the family…

I am guessing we won’t have internet access up there so, I’ll be back here on sunday or monday.
