Jesus Loves Me.

I wrote this for the message i preached this sunday. The text was John 4.

Jesus loves me.

This I know.

For the Bible tells me so.

Jesus loves me.

I think I know.

But the Bible does tell me so.

Jesus loves me?

Wait. I am not quite so sure I know.

But, I guess the Bible tells me so.

Jesus loves me…

To be honest, I question this.

In my secret thoughts, I really question the Bible here.

Jesus loves me?

I don’t know. Maybe I just thought he did.

The Bible doesn’t really know who I am and what I have done.

Jesus can’t love me.

This I know.

The Bible is well-intentioned. But wrong.

Jesus loves me.

Hm…What would it be like if this were something I really knew?

Does the Bible tell me so?

Jesus. Love me.

I want to know.

Jesus, I want to know.
