the thing that has revolutionized my prayer life and communication with God is reading "for the pause" (when something hits me and makes me stop to think. then i write what i am thinking to God. I then write "dear Child......" and wait for what i "hear" God saying. I journal all these exchanges and i am finding that as i take time for "silence" i hear God speak to me. my journal is full of uncensored conversations between me and God. Aside from that, I also pray for people that i have committed to pray for regularly. this whole thing is something that i started a year ago in our Worship Team spiritual formation group and has changed my life.
