New Wordpress.com - Get Your Own Blog
For those of you who are bloggers who want to use WordPress but don’t have the ability to buy and manage your own domain name, there is now a new free (i think at least it is for the time being) service offered by wordpress that gives you a wordpress blog with the domain name: yourname.wordpress.com

update: I was playing around with the free account i got and they have really done a great job with the admin section. it is much cleaner and user-friendly than the copy that you can download and put on your own server. It comes preloaded with a number of the free/popular themes that you can choosefrom.
