• On the resurrection

    April 13, 2006

“The historical foundation for this is Christ, or - to be more exact - Christ’s resurrection from the dead.  It is from Christ’s resurrection that the Spirit proceeds -the Spirit who renews and gives birth to new life, and who lays hold of us in faith. For the forgiveness of sins, we are pointed to Christ’s death on the cross and its meaning for salvation; but the saving significance of his resurrection from the dead is manifested and expressed in our ‘rebirth to a living hope’.  New life begins in us through the power of hope: that is an Easter experience….”

    “New life begins in us…”
Todd pointed out in the Sunday service, “All life has vital sighns of being alive.” This is pivotal for our walk with Christ!

Just some reflective question to think about:

Can a non believer see our vital sighns of being alive? What are they? Where are the biblical passages to support this? How often do we show it?

Just to get it rolling - Worship, prayer, giving, serving, selflessness, the spirit of love, joy, peace, kindness….

Thank you Mel and Todd for inviting us into your home and into your community.
