Reading the Story…
With our Neighborhood Group tonight, we spent the evening discussing the Crucifixion and reading John 19-20 together.
It was a great discussion on the story and…well, there is something really beautiful about reading scripture with your community…we all bring something a little different to the story. We were talking, and realized that before the Passion of the Christ put the words to images for us, we all come with our own mental images of the event. if you played the “movie in our minds” we would all play a little bit different of a video. Really, all this to say that its so helpful and beautiful to get inside each others minds a bit as we interact with the text together…
