In reference to your post, I think that Proverbs (which is an oh-so-very wise book) says, &quot;The rich rules over the poor and the borrow is servant to the lender&quot; (Prov. 22:7)

Indeed.

This is one of the things that excites me most about my debt-free journey.  I know that once I&#039;m out of debt, there&#039;s a much bigger world of opportunities available when I&#039;m not tied to making a particular income just to keep my world afloat.  I&#039;ll also be so much more free to serve God because, like you said, my thoughts will be freed up and not preoccupied (read: consumed) with finances as they have been.  No longer will I be a slave to my debtors.  That is going to be AWESOME.</description>
