What about to be a reflection of his glory, love and compassion in this world! This a good question, I don't know among North Americans, but I know lot person in Brazil that have been told that Christian people do not smoke, does not have sex as a single, does not kill nor steal,or so, but when I asked then a year ago what do we became Christians for? They was like lost, speechless ! It is a very profound question and must be answered by anybody that sees himself as a follower of Jesus.

We become Christians to enjoy God and enjoy him forever. The ministry of "reconciliation, peace and justice on earth" should be an extension of this but not the goal of being saved. God saves us unto himself and then calls us and sends us. Just my 2 cents.
