Dear Church Family,

The past few weeks have been quite a time for our community. Amidst the whirlwind of activity, I wanted to take a few minutes to update you on what’s going on around The Well.

– Saying Goodbye…
– Leadership Transition…
– A Compassion for Our Children…
– Sharing the Story…

Saying Goodbye…
It’s hard to believe that we are fast approaching the Jackson’s last Sunday (March 26th) with our community. During this service, we will have a short time of sharing about how Brad and Stacy have impacted your lives. I am sure this time could go on forever but we’ll have to cut it off at some point. So be sure to come prepared to share. That night we are looking forward to a dinner organized by Mary Ellen Douglass. We encourage you to make it out to each of these events and show the Jackson’s much we are thankful for the time that God allowed them to serve here. Also, we invite you to share your love for Brad and Stacy through personal phone calls, e-mails and even visits.

Leadership Transition…
We know that anytime there is any kind of change or transition in leadership of a community many questions arise. We have committed ourselves to communicating with the community openly and often as to how things will move forward. On Sunday, we handed out a document that further clarifies who will lead our church and how things will work out. If you would like a copy of this document you can download it here. If you have questions, comments, concerns or just want to air an opinion, please feel free to talk to anyone on the leadership team.

A Compassion for Children…
Recently, it has become quite apparent that we need to be more intentional with the way we partner with parents to rear children who love God and love others. God has blessed us with such wonderful children and we want to teach them the love, compassion and grace of God each time they enter our doors and interact with out community.

In response to this desire, the leadership is now looking to hire someone who is gifted, qualified and passionate about the education of children. Thank you for your generosity in your offerings that will make this 10-hour a week position possible. We invite you to be in prayer for the leadership, the future Children’s Coordinator and our children.

Share the Story…
It was great to hear from Chris (Archie) and Phil this week in church. What a great challenge for us to continue to “share our faith.” Often this idea (evangelism) can sound archaic but in one sense it is as simple as loving people unconditionally and trying to be an aroma of the grace of God in their lives. Keep praying for each other and those who we are seeking to share the love of Jesus with. After all, it’s this love that makes us gather together and call ourselves a community.

Thank you for your continued involvement in the mission of The Well. We are excited about seeing the love and compassion of God meet the world through our community.
