From Eugene Peterson’s book, Christ Plays in Ten-Thousand Places:
“It is the devil’s work to get us worked up into thinking and acting for God and then subtly detach us from a relational obedience and adoration for God.”
I love this thought, sometimes i err on this all too well.
on the other hand, i wonder if some of us get so worked up in adoration of God that we quit acting for God (by this i mean, living as the hands and feet of Jesus)…
just a thought.
