Our plane leaves a little later than we planned so I have time for one more blog post. Lucky me.
I was thinking yesterday as we were having a prayer time for our team that is heading to New Orleans that one does not have to “do mission.” I pray that those in our community who are not heading down with us on this trip will be the hands and feet of Jesus in their workplaces, homes, neighborhoods, places they shop, etc. just as much as we will try to be as we are in the south helping those who have been destroyed by the storm.
This takes intentionality, but i believe it should be done with the same amount of passion and intention as we those who go on a “mission trip.” Perhaps we should consider ourselves on a “mission trip” every time we step out of our house…or even when we are in our house depending on our situation…
